Performance Measures

Building Permits

Description

This measure shows the total number of permits issued by type. These are building permits and permits for work in the right-of-way.

Significance

Currently not all permit types can be applied for on-line. In order to help better serve our community, the City would like to have all permits to be able to be applied for on-line. This measure will help the City determine how close they are to reaching that goal.

Analysis

Data Source

Data is generated from the TRAKiT system. The report is looking at the user that issued the permit and determining if it was the online user that issued the permit or if it was staff.

Building Inspections

Description

Inspections are required by the City Building Code to ensure safety of all structures in which a permit was issued.

Significance

This measure is significant because it is an indicator of building actively within the City. Building activity is a early indicator of the overall performance of the economy.

Analysis

Data Source

That measure is automatically generated in Clearpoint. The measure pulls data from another Clearpoint measure which shows the number of inspections completed in 1 day vs. the total number of inspections.
